Snuggly Buster

The best part of my day every day usually involves some sort of snuggling with this baby. I'm seriously in love with him. He is such a sweet, smiley little toad. He is my happiest baby as well as my most cuddly baby.

He is sitting up lately and really reaching far for toys or food or whatever it is he wants. At this age Olivia was crawling all over the house, but I am in no rush for this boy to grow up and start acting older than he is. I just want to freeze him forever.

Sometimes I'm grateful for bad weather.

I feel sort of awful saying that especially since 90% of my ward lost power due to the crazy ice/snow storms we had last week, but for us it ended up being sort of a blessing.  You see, we had some good friends come into town, and since the roads were so bad, Jaron got to stay home for two full days and hang out with me and our friends that were staying at our house. It really felt like a little mini vacation.  Our house even felt like an upscale ski-lodge, what with all of the snowy scenery outside, and the welcoming fire that Jaron constantly kept aflame for us.

We had fun playing in the snow and spending time with some of our most favorite people on this planet, that and we never lost power. If we had I might be singing a different tune. Here are some pictures of the picturesque ice-snow that Jaron took:

Here is our dear friend Brittany and her cute little Gracie, who hardly did anything but melt our hearts with her cute little jibberjabber, her friendly "Hi's", and her sweet little grins.

Our poor neighbors lost half of their tree in the storm. The wet, icy, snow was just too heavy for that poor tree. At least it didn't damage their roof.

Lots of roads were closed for a few days. The snow plows made it to the freeways, but didn't make it to most neighborhoods. Our neighborhood was a huge lumpy sheet of ice. It's almost been a week now and there is still much to clean up from the aftermath of the storm.  I'm sort of getting used to the sound of chainsaws cutting down branches outside my bedroom window.  On Saturday our ward is doing a day of service to go help people in the ward clear their yards of tree branches.  Some people in our ward lost power for more than 3 days. It was a pretty crazy storm, but yet I really did enjoy it.

Ok now I'm done, and I officially miss everyone. This was hard to do. Why do we have to live so far away?

Pictures of Christmas from the Davis camera

My sister sent me these photos that her and Jared took. I couldn't resist posting some of them here. They are so great and they make me happy.

My cute niece is named after my mom. Can you see the resemblance. Wow. I never realized how much she looks like her beautiful Grandma.

This picture (above of my Dad) makes me smile. His goofy sense of humor with the chicken in his shirt, very typical behavior. :)

This one makes me smile too. Look at those cozy kids on Christmas morning.
