Bike Ride with ma girlz

This weekend was the annual "father-sons camp out" . While the boys were building fires "with their bare hands" as Warner excitedly recapped for me when he had gotten home from the camp out, us girls painted nails, watched a movie, and went on a nice long bike ride to a lake. I was impressed with Liv, who clocked 9 miles like it was nothin. She was so excited to put Rubie's supplies in her white basket which came in very handy.

My favorite moment, aside from when we were cruising at fast speeds down big hills while Liv screamed "Waaaahooooo!!" was the moment when a road biker came soaring past Liv and Liv, tilted her helmet and said something to him. I didn't hear what she said, but I could tell it was more than just "hi", so I slowed down and waited for her so I could ask her what she said to him. "What did you say to that biker" I asked. "Oh I just said 'Nice seeing you and smiled'." It was so cute. It made me laugh.

I'm grateful to live by this gorgeous trail, but not so grateful for the huge hill we have to go down to get to it.

The boys had a blast on their camp out and came back tired and stinky. Now everyone is bathed, and napping, and I'm awake and supposed to be preparing a Sunday school lesson for tomorrow, but am procrastinating.

It was fun being with ma girlz.

A Boy and his Ball

P.S. This is Warner's coach. Which I know it's just a side perk to the fact that my son is having the time of his life doing sports for the first time ever, but his coach really is a hotty.

What the heck. I just realized My eye is totally cross-eyed in this picture. Oh well I'm posting it anyway! We both look a little squirrely, but at least we are confident in our squirrleyness.  This was a field trip we took last week to the local community college. It was a pretty ridiculous tour I'm afraid to say, and Warner is sold on going there just because they have a pool table. Is billiards a major? Why didn't I know that! Totally joking.
Even if I have to undo some of the influence they had on my son, it was still great to be able to spend some one on one time with the War bird.

Spring Break 2015 Trip to Utah

This spring has been absolutely gorgeous in the Pacific Northwest, and if it weren't for the family I love so much, I might not have taken a trip to leave the beautiful landscape I call home. The trip was well worth it though, and it was so great to be home for the Easter Holiday.
Memorable moments from the trip:
Snuggling in the hotel in Boisee. Half way to grandma's!

The fact that we got a flat tire 10 minutes away from our destination. To the kids it was all just part of the adventure. And 168 dollars later we were on our way.

Happy to be out of the car bathed and clean.

Easter Sunday with Grandpa in pink.

The Traditional Easter egg hunt

I would have driven 900 miles just to eat some of these. My Mom's traditional Easter thumb print and sugar cookies.

I'm so glad I got a picture of my beautiful Grandma Pope behind one of her gorgeous salad's.

Not so much a fond moment, when Jaron sprained his ankle, but at least it wasn't a concussion!

It's all about the cousins. Bout the cousins. Bout the cousins.

This is what my Mom's newly purchased couch looked like before Buster barfed all over it. The not so memorable part of our trip was getting the flu and watching it go through everyone in the house. When I think of Utah I'll forever think of my Mom's washing machine, because that's where I ended up spending most of my time.  You win some and you lose some. Just kidding. No there were so many other great parts to the trip.

Day out with Grandam Pope

Will call this one exhausted flu-boy.

Thanks giving Point gardens were a refreshing outing after everyone was done puking up there insides.

We got to go to the o'l Y campus. It brought back fond memories. It was awesome to get to hear Jen perform in the Best Buddies talent show. And there's the mountains I love so much.

I'll call this one "The Brownie's" Aren't they a good lookin bunch?

And just like that we were saying goodbye. Love you Utah.
