Uh oh, pain coming on again distract distract!
How bout some bubbles Liv?
Why is it that this bubble makes me want to start singing "I saw my baby, crying hard as babe could cry. . ." or "Power of the babe, what babe, the babe with the power, what power, the power of who do? You do?" or "What kind of magic spells do you use?" You've gotta love David Bowie in the Labrynth, its an all time classic in my family, and its almost as good as The Lady in White.
But really, what kind of magic spells do you use? When your baby is crying almost every minute that they are awake, because they are teething, and even the baby Tylenol doesn't help? Any suggestions. My bubbles are running out. . .

baby motrin. works so much better for annie. good luck.
So, sometimes when my kids are cranky, I think about what would feel good to me when I'm sick or not feeling good. Like, maybe a couple of extra baths this week, nice and soothing and warm. Also, I know you can't do regular ice cream, but maybe it's time to introduce Liv to soy shakes or popcciles or another cool treat that my soothe her achy gums. A new story book or some books from the library? Also, another thing that I think helps at this age is just for her to be able to communicate to you that she hurts. You could teach her the sign for pain and maybe her just her knowing that you know what is wrong might make her feel better. That's all I've got just now, but I'll keep thinking about it. Good luck. Give her a kiss from Aunt Kell.
Poor, Poor, Liv and Jess! By the time you are able to try the distractions she will probably be better. "Numzit" or baby "Oragel" (I know this is not spelled right) might help. This too shall pass, I promise.
The Oklahoma grandma.
Sorry I don't have any advise yet cause when my dogs teeth fell out and grew in I really couldn't tell if she was in pain or not. Love the David Bowe reference, and yes Labrynth is one of the best movies along with Lady in White. Olivia is so cute in her raincoat.
Here's what we did: Have you seen those little mesh "Munchkin Feeders"? We just put an ice cube in it and it helped Jane a lot. Not only does it numb the mouth a bit, but chewing on that ice helps the teeth cut through faster.
I use Orajel and tylenol, and that has seemed to work for my kids, so I don't have any great ideas for you! Good luck!!
poor girl! I have not help to offer...sorry =o(
I just had to tell you I am about to put my Labrynth DVD on and watch it while I make Heavenly Hash Brownies and eat them until I die. You sure put a bug in me. Hope Olivia feels better.
hahahaha...not to laugh at Olivia but I loved your little vocal performance from Labrynth. When I saw the picture I was actually thinking, "Wow! Jess got a great shot and I need to buy myself a new camera one of these days..."
cute entry, but sorry to hear liv is in pain. here are my two bits. someone just told me about hyland's teething tablets. they're homeopathic and work quickly. i'm going to try them with grey someday...you can find them in the natural section at fred meyer for sure.
also, we had a munchkin fresh food feeder--basically a small mesh strainer made for babies. we would put ice cubes in it for jane to suck on, and that really helped without making her hands cold. you could also give her frozen banana or even just popsicles.
