Random thoughts on a rainy, thursday afternoon

Yesterday I went to Costco, because Olivia was all out of diapers, and before I left I promised myself that I would only go in for the diapers. I should never make such silly promises to myself, especially when fresh berries are in season!
Blueberries? Yes Please! Rasberries? Yes Please!! Cherry Tomatoes? Double Yes Please!!

This morning while I was doing an on-line work out, Olivia came and sat on our sub woofer (no idea how to spell that) and watched me work out. I thought her little body fit so perfectly on the sub woofer that I took a picture. It was a nice little seat for her. She really enjoys watching me workout. Sometimes she even finds little sticks and things to poke at me while I'm in the full plank position shaking like a mini earthquake. Its great.
Last weekend was my grandma Pope's Birthday. She is truly one of the most strong willed, and faithful people that I know. To celebrate her birthday back home in Utah, her kids threw her a luau with a roasted pig, hula dancers, and the whole nine yards. Being the considerate mom that my mom is, she sent us out-of-towner's some little outfits so that we could have our own party in celebration of Grandma Pope. Here is a picture of Liv doing a hula dance in her Hawaiian outfit.
Actually I think she's doing the Haka in this one.

I just got called to be in Young Women's last Sunday. And I had my first Sunday back at young women's after 7 years! I'm over the beehives and they seem like such sweet girls. I'm so excited to be in this calling. If anybody has any advice for me, you women that have served in young women's, I would love it! (Note about the picture above: this is not a girl I know, I just found this picture on the church website).

HAPPY THURSDAY My PEEPS!

I was in the YW too (but since we just moved we're in a new ward - which we have yet to attend - so no callings yet). Are you the second counselor in the presidency or are you the Beehive advisor?

I'm the second counselor, so I'm over beehives, but not teaching them every week, but I still go to the class every Sunday.

Jess, Love that little Luau girl. I've been hoping you'd post that. She looks so darling. We'll have to put all the kids in their Hawaiian stuff while you're here.

And yummy berries!

I am the YW secretary and I love it! That is so exciting. I am going to Camp this year for just a night but I am totally looking forward to it. It s funny to be a leader when you still feel just as young as the girls. Hope it goes well and Olivia is so cute.

I will always love to hear any random thoughts you may have =O)

The last time I went into costco I only needed to buy something for the Dorms and I walked out of there with a Vita-Mix and a ton of fruit...so...it happens to the best of us.

I think Young Womans is such a great calling for you. You really are a person these girls will look up to. Do you get to go to girls camp too??? that would be so fun!

Thanks Jennelle, your sweet. And to answer your question, I would love to go to girls camp, but I'm going to be out of town. Bummer!

I love the new look of your website. And of course the new pics of you, Olivia, and my baby Jaron. That picture is very fitting of him. I am sooooo excited about your call to YW. You know how much I love that auxillary of the church. "Read the handbook"--that is what I learned a long time ago in CA when I served there. I was a counselor to a lady who was married to a nonmember and he told her to just read the handbook. What good advice. Of course you can call with any questions, too. Your little family is one of my favorite!! Love you guys.

Oh I know... everything at Costco is so great, I get sucked in most of the time. MMMmmmm the berries look good! And I love the pics of Olivia. That dress is darling. And how fun to be in Young Womens! I don't have any advice but I know of some cool CD's that go along with the yearly theme, New Beginnings Programs, camps, and such!

Grandma's party was AMAZING. My boys fell in love with the polynesian dancers and they both want to grow up to be fire eaters. Wish you had been there, but Olivia looks darling in her dress!
