In spite of the distraction of Olivia's playful noises as she played and read books in front of our TV, and cat naps here and there that I occasionally gave into from my lack of sleep lately, I still really enjoyed conference this weekend. I can't wait until the ensign comes out and I can dive into the wonderful words from our prophet and leaders. I always feel such a hunger to be better and do more when I get done with conference and I love that feeling. From Elder Bednar's talk I have a renewed goal to go to the temple often and make my worship meaningful. Elder Holland's talk gave me a greater understanding and increased testimony of the atonement and a greater appreciation for our savior. After Elder Hales talk I realized I really need to keep on doing my budget even though I really don't want to and try to be more prudent in our spending. On top of the uplifting words from conference I really just love spending so much time at home with my family. Before I took the picture of Olivia cuddling with Jaron on the couch I was holding happy little Warner on my lap, and as I looked at our little family my heart was filled with gratitude. I feel so grateful for him and for my kids, ha I can say kids now, that is neat.

great post.......i LOVED conference too, and especially Elder Perry's talk - he is my favorite and I always look forward to him speaking. I, however, for some reason had a real longing and sense of sadness to not hear pres. hinckley - I love our current prophet, but I do miss his sense of humor and sweet words of his wife every time now! We are getting a whole new generation of general authorites and altho they are great, it makes me feel old and a little sad that alot of those who i grew up hearing are moving on! Great talks tho - and I too look forward to the ensign!

I loved conference too! I am so impressed you were able to get that much out of it with kids. It's been years since I could say that. I loved the ones you mentioned, and Elder Ballard's too.
