Momma Brown In Town

We have had the pleasure of having Debbie (i.e. Momma Brown) in town for the week. I think all of us are going to go through major withdrawls when she flies home tomorrow, but needless to say we have had a blast while she's been here.

Somehow in the midst of packing boxes/cleaning/changing diapers/napping/cooking/ and temper tantrum-ing we managed to get out and have a little fun too.

On Friday Jaron took off work and we jumped on the Bainbridge ferry. Little Warner is in that brown sling wrapped around me and keeping me warm.
A view of our Emerald City from the water:
Saturday we packed up some sandwiches and took our little picnic down to Salt Water State Park to eat while enjoying the beauty of The Sound.

Liv really enjoyed putting the sand back in the water. What can I say? She likes to clean up.

On Sunday we enjoyed some dairy free chocolate cake and celebrated Momma Brown's birthday which will be on the 26th!

And Today Jaron took took off the afternoon and we headed to Dash Point to find us some sand dollars. It has been such a glorious trip with Momma Brown and I'm so grateful for her help. I really have been thoroughly spoiled with her help around the house and with the kids.
We tried to convince her to just make her stay permanent, but I guess she feels some sort of obligation to go back to Oklahoma to take care of three boys that probably missed her greatly.

Ah well, at least we tried.

Thanks again Debbie. You are wonderful! You will be missed!

Oh man, I laughed out loud at work when I saw that picture of Liv and Jaron's mom. It's not really a scowl, but I don't know what to call it. I know it all too well.

Jess, I love Olivia's face in the picture where my mom is squatting next to her pointing. First of all, I think it's really cute and second, I swear this one of your expressions. No Jaron here, just a mother-daughter look-a-like.

Great pictures Jess,
I especially love the one where Warner is looking at Debbie. He seems to understand quite a bit about relationships. What a treasure he is as is Olivia.
