Last night, as I was walking out of Olivia's bedroom door, moments after finishing with her bedtime routine, she ran towards me and exclaimed "But mom, I need to talk to you"!
I turned around, she quickly shut the door behind me, locking me in, and in a very business like tone she said
"So,
I don't want to go to sleep".
It was a noble effort. It really was. Unfortunately I wasn't up for negotiation. :)

She is such a smart negotiator. At the reunion she was following Jaron into the field where the younger adult family members were chopping wood for the fire and was yelling, "Dad, Dad, Wait for me!" Jaron continued walking but slower and said "OK, I'm waiting". Olivia yelled, "No, Dad, Stop Walking." Smart girl, that one.
they start getting smart all to fast. that is really funny, i can just imagine her "so..."
