Hello cyberworld. I am learning the art and science of blogging, and figured my inaugural post could be about my new haircut. Jess gave it to me, thinking I would just have it for a few minutes, but I ran away from her clippers and am going on 24 hours now. I think BYU may consider this an "extreme hairstyle" and due to the fact I need to do things like buy books, get a new ID, etc... I may have to change. That and I like sleeping in bed and not on the couch, where I have been condemned to sleep if I remain a Mohican. Now I understand why they died out; it wasn't the wars with the Frenchys and Iroquois or whatever, it was a failure to progenize. So this post is more of an experiment than anything, and as a scientist I have found that experiments are best kept short.

Jaron, Jared has a friend who ran an his own little experiment of wearing a mowhawk for a week. He did the same thing with a mustache. He found, that when he wore a mustache, other men with mustaches were very accepting of him. They would smile and nod. It was like he was part of a little inner circle. When he tried the mowhawk out, he was disappointed to learn that the same inner circle did not exist. A guy with a mowhawk was just as likely to be mean and surely to another guy with a mowhawk, with no preferance to hair style. His final conclusion: mowhawk wearers aren't a bad group of people, they just need to work on group cohesiveness.
An interseting social behavioral study to be sure. I think motorcycle riders are like mustache-men: they always wave to each other in a little gesture of "hey, you're like me!". I haven't run into any mohicans though, so I can't contribute to the growing body of data on the subject at the present. Maybe this afternoon I'll head down to the skatepark and see if I can find one to study.
Love the new hair style. Let us know how the skatepark experiment worked out. If not, just wait a week. My mom always said that the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is about a week...
You know I love it.

Very nice Jaron, very nice. Richie saw it and said, "Is that Jaron?"
I love it! Jess, please let Jaron keep his mohawk, just for me. I would appreciate and love it so much!! Because you know, I have so few simple joys in love.... :)
Jaron,
What are you thinking? Can't wait til your dad sees this.
Mom
Awesome!
I hope that grows soon.
I love it. I think it totally fits you, Jaron!
The mohawk experiment seems to be going quite well. It surprises me to hear that jess fails to comprehend the glorious beauty you now exude, which you lacked with an average, ordinary haircut.
p.s. the skatepark here is done. I haven't had time to skate it yet, but it looks pretty awesome.
