Girl of the Hour. . . Every Hour!

We threw Olivia a little birthday party on Sunday for her one year birthday. It was really low key, because it was Sunday, but really fun none the less. First thing after family arrived we showed a little three-minute video of Olivia's first year that my brother Rich made. It was so well done. Thanks again Rich and Brooke! Then we sang Happy birthday and gave Olivia her own little cupcake. I thought she would snarf it down in a heart beat, seams how we never really give her desserts, but instead she grabbed a load of frosting, and after getting frustrated that it wouldn't slide off of her fingers so easily and onto the floor, she resulted to putting it in her hair. Now that's a nice place for it. Out of the way and all.

After cake we opened presents and played a little game. I didn't think Liv would even think twice about her presents, but as you can see from the picture below, she couldn't get enough of them.

Apparently Mathew drank one too many drinks and got a little tipsey at the end of the party, but we don't hold anything against him.

Olivia is so adorable! She is such a perfect mixture of both of you. I am happy we can get everyone together soon.

Looks like a fun party. I can't wait to see the kid in person. She looks like quite a character now.

Looks like a fun party, Jess! Wish that we could have been there to help Liv celebrate. But, Rich was there in a sweater vest, looking pretty dapper, so what more could she really ask for? I don't know what I would have worn...

Jess - she is such a doll! Wish we could have been there for the party.

Low key?? What are you talking about? That looks like a mighty-fancy table. And the coordinated balloons and decor? No my dear, you went above and beyond for a 1yr old birthday :)
