Tell me the truth.

Is it really possible to have a clean house and happy kids?

If you answer yes, please tell me your secret.

I don't know if it's possible, but I was inspired by a friend's blog. Her motto is to deep clean one day a week so she can play with her kids the other 6. I haven't mastered this art, but thought I would share!

haha, i'm wondering that too. it does seem to help to get the kids involved, even if it takes longer (now that grey is two, i can say both kids) and brad has instituted "dance party cleanup" where they play fun music and clean up. otherwise i'm just trying to make good routines and habits every day so i don't get to the point of having to spend two hours cleaning. not there yet, but if i find some other secret on the way i'll let you know...

I'm not an expert at it. But, Monday is my cleaning/laundry day. That is the only day I clean unless there is an accident. I try to have the kids help. Often times they are a little neglected that day. But, they also love that day because it's movie day. The only day of the week they get to watch a movie. And then I have the rest of the week to focus on them. I also tidy every night after they go to bed for about 20 minutes. It works pretty well for us.

Of course! Just don't expect it to last longer than 5 minutes :)
