GG Pope and Baby Buster at The Botanical Gardens

     Isn't my Grandma just the loveliest 88 year old you have ever seen? I hope I look half as good as her when I am her age. 
     I'm so glad I captured this moment at least once on camera, because it was one that was repeated over and over again throughout the trip. 
     Grandma Pope LOVES babies, and babies LOVE Grandma Pope (or GG Pope as she refers to herself as for Great Grandma Pope).  Buster warmed up quickly to GG Pope's coos and animated faces, and he quickly learned that if he smiled big and kicked his legs hard in excitement when she entered the room that she would happily pick him up. He especially loved all of her beaded jewelry, and in spite of her efforts to hide it behind her sweaters, he was no dummy and knew just where to find  those bright and beautiful turquoise beads. 
     It was such a treasure for me to see Grandma Pope interact with my kidlets. I wish my Grandma Hoopes was around sometimes so that my kids could have known her too.
