*Buster fraternizing with other young strangers at the beach. Pretty cute.
*Buster putting fist fulls of sand in his mouth over and over. Pretty not cute. Ok it was still cute, it was just tiring to try to re-direct his energy else wear.
*Olivia in her cute little ruffly, hot pink swim suit. I wish they made it in my size.
*Warner content as a little clam, never even bothering to come in for a bite to eat or a drink of water, just played in the sand for 4 hours straight in the sun. He fell promptly to sleep the minute we started driving away.
*Learning the hard way that wind surfing without wind is like trying to hold one really long, really difficult yoga pose while being on a tipsy board that could throw your sorry carcass into freezing cold water at any given moment.
*Attending the fabulous Dance festival that involved many different stakes, and about 1100 kids. My good friend coordinated all of the costumes for it, and I still can't believe she somehow managed to do that while taking care of three little kids herself not too mention other demanding callings. My favorite dance was the Maori Haka dance. I guess it took me back to my BYU-Hawaii days, accept instead of intimidating muscley, tattooed-up islanders it was skinny, white, Mormon boys. They did a great job.
*Camping in our backyard. Also, realizing that camping in our backyard is way better than real camping in that it's free. You don't have to fight any crowds. When you aren't getting to sleep because your baby is too excited to lie down in a tent next to you, you go upstairs and plop him in his crib where he falls quickly to sleep because it's 11:00 at night. You have clean, fresh, bathrooms to use. And last, but not least, you can wake up to an amazing breakfast of pancakes, and buttermilk syrup, and fresh berries and orange juice relatively effortlessly (well effortless for the ones still sleeping at least).
