Windsurfing anyone?

Jaron is now officially part of the Boeing windsurfing club, which means that for $45 he got to attend a windsurfing class every Tuesday night for one month, and had the privilege of being tutored by one apropriatly named "Dr. Wind", and also that he has access to windsurfing equipment for one whole year. All for the price of $45!

So, pretty much every sunny afternoon when Jaron gets home from work and when we have no other obligations. . . monday night, friday night, saturday night . . .
This is what we are usually doing.

We're addicted.

Tid Bits

- Its the season of blackberry picking here in the northwest and it makes my mouth water to think of the juicy, sweet, fresh, and (the best part) free black berries that we picked on Saturday. However, note to self that although it produces an awesome color of dark purple, blackberry and banana shakes are disgusting!

-I had an absolutely wonderful discovery on Saturday. I decided to relax and take a bath and in order to provide optimum relaxation I decided to try out my mothers day gift to myself (i.e. Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Stress Relief Massage Oil Eucalyptus Spearmint). I didn't know this but you can actually put massage oil in your bath water too. Now here is the great discovery. I shaved my legs in this soft silky water with out any shaving cream! Then when I got out of the water my skin felt so nice and smooth that I didn't need lotion. And to make it all better my legs stayed soft for two days and my hair took longer to grow than it normally does. So ladies, kiss goodbye shaving cream and lotion and say hello to silky soft legs! :) Ok there are my tidbits. Just thought I would share. Happy Monday!

P.S. Express

For our anniversary this year we decided to take a jaunt down to Port Townsend, jump on the P.S. express, and go see some wild Orca whales.

Here is a picture of the whale that we finally got to see: I was so glad we had the camera out to catch it on film. . .

See that tiny speck of black to the left of the boat? That's it! Cool hu? It is a dorsal fin of an Orca whale I promise.

Ok ok, just joking we did get a little bit closer of a view than that . . . much to our surprise and satisfaction.

wait for it. . .
Wait for it. . .

Helllloooooooo. . . la la la.

I think Killer Whales are so cool.
These two friendly whales came up on the side of our boat and followed us for a long time.
We also checked out this cool little sanctuary on the way home.
Take a closer look at this cute little pup:
Cue the music . . ."Somewhere out there beneath the pale blue sky. . .someone's thinking of you"

Ah what fun.

So, if your in the mood for whale watching, I would definitely recommend the P.S. Express in Port Townsend. We had a grand o'l time on their boat.

What I wouldn't recommend; however, is swimming in the Puget Sound anytime soon. . .

Du na, du na, du na, dunununununununaaaaaa!!!!!!!

More conversation from the grape nut

Last night, as I was walking out of Olivia's bedroom door, moments after finishing with her bedtime routine, she ran towards me and exclaimed "But mom, I need to talk to you"!

I turned around, she quickly shut the door behind me, locking me in, and in a very business like tone she said

"So,

I don't want to go to sleep".

It was a noble effort. It really was. Unfortunately I wasn't up for negotiation. :)

Stay tuned for pictures of live whales to come!

Words from the Toddler

While driving in the car today Liv said:

"I don't don't like skeetos, I like ants".

Pause.

"I like to go inside and put on my sparky shoes and then smash them."

Pause.

"With my feet".

Pause.

"I like bumbabees too".

Later on in the car, after passing by a smashed and bloody mouse in the road the following conversation took place.

Me- "Eeeew!!"

Liv- "Whot happened?"

Me- "A mouse got smashed in the road"

Liv- "Ohhh. In the road?" "A mouse got smashed?"

Me- "Yep"

Liv- "Ohhh."

Liv- "And then he got sad?"

Aaaah I suppose he probably was a little sad. . .
