While cooking in the kitchen the other day, Liv was playing with Warner in the family room when all of the sudden she ran around the corner and exclaimed "I poked Warner!!". After seeing what must have been a pretty disappointed look on my face, she quickly inserted"softly".

Singing in the back of the car while running errands, Liv sang the following words:
"I love to be my best. I love Warner and Dad too.
But, he is hard to find".
Shopping at target. Looking for some bike shorts for Dad, I said to Olivia "Alright, Liv, we're looking for some bike shorts for Daddy's birthday so keep your eyes peeled".
With an almost offended and very startled look she yelled
"No! I don't want my eyes peeled!!" loud enough for all to hear.
Today, while shopping at Walmart after I asked her to stop walking in front of the shopping cart she said
"But Mom, your just stressing me out".
This morning Liv walked down the stairs, doctor's kit in hand and said
"Mommy. You fix me?"*Ok and then the grand finale, and this is probably one of those things that you just had to be there for, but I really almost peed my pants laughing, so I gotta write it if only for future laughs for me and Jaron. A few days ago Olivia accompanied me and Warner to the doctor's office for a food allergy test. Seeing her brother get poked with a needle was not a fun experience. In retrospect, I wish I would have gotten a baby sitter for her, because it was very traumatic for her. Ok. . thats not the funny part.
The funny part came later that evening, when Liv said this little prayer on the food:
"We're grateful for the food, and for the chicken, and the tatoes, and the water, and the . . . (whatever else we were eating that night)", then after a long pause she said in a more quiet and serious voice
"and Warner got poked by the noodle". I couldn't help it. I busted up laughing , in fact I'm laughing out loud now thinking about it. She was so sweet and sincere, but I couldn't help but laugh at her cuteness. To my irreverant laughing Liv then, lifted what had once been a very reverent and focused bowed head, discontinued her prayer, and glared at me (arms still folded tightly, and head lifted only enough to set her gaze directly on me). I was in big trouble, but the glare was so cute and serious that it made me laugh all the more. When I was finally able to control myself, she re-bowed her head and continued on until she finished her prayer.

Speaking of noodles and the Warlber, I should find out results on his food allergies today. So, stay tuned and say a little prayer for us.
