You know, before I became a mom I was worried that being the normally pro-active gal that I am, I would go crazy being home all day taking care of a little baby. On the contrary, this has been the funnest adventure of my life. Everyday with Olivia brings new suprises. For instance, yesterday she laughed for the first time! It was so hillarious. She just kept laughing in her sleep. Who knows at what, but indeed it was a laugh. I love being at home with her. I wouldn't change it for the world. It's the most exciting thing I've ever done in my life. Friday, December 29, 2006
Motherhood

Sister or Angel?
Sometimes I think sisters were put on earth as secret angels to help each other out in times of need. Ok, so maybe not all sisters, maybe just mine? I don't know, but one thing is for sure Kelly is an angel. What would I have done with out her? She spent her time here mopping my floor, deep cleaning my bathroom and stove, doing all of my laundry (which tended to be at least three loads a day), completely organizing Olivia's dresser, cooking up a storm (including freshly made lion house rolls, and three loafs of homeade whole wheat bread), and holding, diapering, and bathing the baby whenever I needed it. Truly angelic. Now I'm left to fend for myself and live life as we know it. In order to avoid going through Kelly withdrawls I decided to plan a day full of projects. It was a great idea. After a poor night of sleep, Olivia and I slept in until about 11:00am, showerd around 1:00, and finally made it up to Brooke's for a little photo shoot. After the photo shoot was over I figured I would have time to do some laundry and dishes before Jaron got home. A good goal to be sure. Instead I held, fed, and diapered a semi-sad baby. Five minutes later my husband got home, and I had done nothing. I'll figure this whole mom thing out one of these days! How do you guys do it?Tuesday, December 05, 2006
Theres Always Light at the End of the Tunnel

This first picture is a picture of my little Gracie girl in the hospital under the Bili lights. This is pretty much how she spent her first four days of life. . . in darkness, coming out only when she was really fussy, or if she was hungry. There were moments where I just wanted to run away with her and show her that the world really was a happy nice place, not just full of needle pricks and bright lights. The second picture is the moral of my story: there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Now Olivia is home with us and loving it! She is such a happy girl. She especially loves to stretch and kick her legs out. She loves when her Dad holds her, and when we run warm water over her hair at bath time. We love her so much! What a little miracle babies are. We feel so blessed.

Olivia, the Raven Haired
Friday, November 24th at 9:19pm, little Olivia graced us with her presence in this world. Truly it was one of the sweetest, yet hardest things I have ever experienced. It was one of the sweetest experiences because I was touched by her spirit coming into this world. The spirit was strong and at that moment I felt so grateful for the gospel of which I was a part, knowing that this little angel was born under the covenant of a very loving couple. It was one of the hardest experiences because this little thing was 8 lbs, 13 oz, with a wopping 36 cm head! Wowee! What a little charger hu? So here she is, little miss Olivia Grace.
